When you use your browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer) to access websites, The Extension aims to save you time and money by showing and applying promo codes that are relevant to you. In order to provide this service, The Extension may analyse and/or collect certain information relating to your browsing activity such as the websites that you visit. For example, by recognising the website that you are visiting, The Extension is then able to find and display promo codes that are relevant to that website. The following information may be analysed and/or collected by The Extension in order to provide the service: the current ecommerce website url you are visiting, previous ecommerce websites you have visited, other referring webpage urls, anonymous technical data including your IP address, the device you use, your device’s unique device IDs where available, your operating system, the type of browser you use, how you engage with websites when you visit using the Extension, non-personal data extracted from third party websites, and information about the way you use The Extension such as when you click on the Pouch icon or when you click on a Call To Action button within The Extension interface.
The Extension may also analyse and/or collect and/or store promo code and shopping basket related data. This could include information such as what promo codes you have attempted to apply to your purchase (regardless of whether the promo code(s) have been successfully applied), the time at which these attempts are made, the amount of time it took to apply promo codes to your purchase, as well as other general information about your shopping basket such as pricing and cost (including, but not limited to, total, sub-total, tax or discount information).
The Extension may also analyse and/or collect and/or store information surrounding any technical issues encountered by The Extension. This information may include, but is not limited to, error message data.
Other aggregate information may be collected by Google Analytics software (“Google Analytics”). This includes Demographic information (such as age, gender, geo-location and interests). This may be used by Pouch to help us understand our users better, and therefore to help us improve our product and help us negotiate better promo codes with Merchants which can then get passed back to you. We may also use this anonymised aggregate data for use in marketing materials including, but not limited to, blog posts, case studies and white papers.
The Extension utilizes “cookies”, an industry standard technology, to collect information about how The Extension is used. The data collected may include, but is not limited to, your browser type, operating system, Internet Service Provider, the data/time of visits, pages viewed, and any third party site that The Extension links to. Again, this information is collected on an aggregate basis without any association to your personal information so that you remain anonymous.
